You can pick the room style that suits you, from a private room to a shared room or a budget friendly bunk option, all within the same building as our school and main office. Being just a short walk from the Plaza de Armas means classes, support, and everything you need in the historic centre are always close by.

You can prepare your own meals in a fully equipped kitchen, unwind in welcoming shared spaces, and still enjoy your own quiet corner when you need it. It is a convenient, affordable, and social base that gives you freedom while still offering a safe and supportive place to come home to each day.

FAQ

Is the Volunteer House in a safe area?

Cusco is generally a safe city and our Volunteer House is situated in the historic centre which is both safe and walkable. We are also situated close to a bus stops, cafés, restaurants and a super market.

How many people stay at the volunteer house?

Our volunteer house has a maximum capacity of 22. The house tends to be busier during the months of March through October, however there are always plenty of international volunteers to socialize with.

Can I cook my own meals?

A volunteer kitchen is provided with modern equipment and plenty of storage space. There are nearby markets and stores to buy food at low cost.

What is the check in process?

You will be picked up at the airport (or bus/train station) by a member of the team who will bring you to the Volunteer House and help you get settled in. There will also be a welcome meeting on your first Monday here.

Is bedding provided?

Yes bedding is provided for all rooms and is cleaned and replaced as required.

Is there a curfew or quiet hours?

There is no curfew and you will be provided a key to access the house. We do however ask volunteers to respect each other's need for rest and there is a quiet hours policy in place after 10pm.

Is the Volunteer House close to my project or classes?

Our language classes are delivered in the same building as the Volunteer House. Volunteer and Internship projects are spread around Cusco however the bus system is both low-cost and easy to use. Buses stop on Avenida Arcopata less than a minute's walk from our front door.

Is their a security deposit?

Yes we ask for a $50 USD security deposit upon arrival. The deposit is returned at checkout provided there has been no damage or loss of keys.

What languages are used in the Volunteer House?

We encourage everyone to use Spanish as much as possible however you will also here plenty of English and German as well as other languages from around the world.
