Veterinary Program
Medical for Dogs
Project description
The veterinary project consists of a combination of the veterinary and the dog shelter. 3 days a week you will work at the veterinary “Doctor Pets”. You will shadow and assist one of the veterinarians (Anderson or Dina).
You will analyse sick and injured animals, assist in all types of surgeries, and help advise medical treatments. You will learn how to use the medical instruments and develop recovery programs together with the veterinarian.
The other days you will work at the dog shelter, you will especially focus on developing medical and recovery programs for the sick and injured dogs.
At the veterinary you will learn how to use instruments and tools, and at the dog shelter you will then get the opportunity to implement your knowledge and to develop specific medical and recovery programs for the sick animals.
Moreover, this project optionally includes assisting in health and sterilization campaigns. These campaigns are for the local community, to educate people about how to take care of dogs and to encourage them to sterilize the dogs.
